Presentation Format

The presentation format for the Postgraduate Research Conference 2011 will be a poster defence.

You can register to present at the conference or just attend.

3 Min Thesis

If you are upto the challenge, you can also compete in the inaugural UTAS UQ 3min thesis challenge. For prizes and the chance to represent UTAS in the national 3min thesis finals!

This [Information Sheet] has all the competition details, prizes and eligibility requirements. This year the finals are held in Western Australia on September 29th 2011.

Location

UTAS Faculty of Fine Arts, Hunter Street, Hobart in the Dechaineux Lecture Theatre and Foyer.

Accommodation & Travel Assistance

You must arrange your own accommodation and transport to attend the conference. Candidates traveling from Launceston or Burnie will be provided with a bursary of $230 (from Launceston) or $350 (from Burnie) from the Graduate Research Office to cover these costs.

Dinner

The Conference Dinner will be held in the evening of Thursday 01 September 2011 in Hobart (venue to be confirmed). The dinner will be complimentary for all participants presenting a defended poster but the subsidised cost of $50 will be charged for any participant wishing to attend who without presenting and defending a poster. This payment is due from those people by 08 July 2011 for catering and event planning.
